From Fort Hood to Leander: The Story Behind Aqua Pearl Pools
Tyler Mueller grew up in a small town in Iowa, the kind of place where you learn early that hard work and doing the right thing aren’t optional — they’re just what you do.
After high school, Tyler joined the Army and found himself stationed at Fort Hood, Texas. It’s where he discovered that Texas had a way of getting under your skin. It’s also where he met his wife.
After his service, Tyler didn’t slow down. He earned a degree in Supply Chain Management from the University of Houston, followed by his MBA from Baylor University. For the next decade, he led supply chains for medium and large companies — managing complexity, building systems, and learning what it looks like when an operation truly runs the way it should.
But somewhere along the way, he found himself drawn to something more personal. Something closer to home.
In 2015, Tyler founded Aqua Pearl Pools in Leander, TX. The idea was straightforward: bring the same discipline, accountability, and attention to detail he’d applied in corporate operations to a business that served his own community. Pool ownership shouldn’t be stressful. People shouldn’t have to wonder whether their service company actually showed up, or what chemicals were added, or whether their equipment was quietly failing.
Tyler wanted to fix that. And he built Aqua Pearl Pools to do exactly that.
Today, Aqua Pearl serves pool owners across Leander, Cedar Park, Liberty Hill, Georgetown, and Round Rock — with a team that reflects the same values Tyler brought home from the Army: show up, do the work right, and never leave someone worse off than you found them.

Chemistry shortcuts hurt people. We never use powdered shock. We use liquid chlorine exclusively, and we advocate for saltwater systems on every pool we service. What goes in your water ends up on your family’s skin — we don’t take that lightly.
